On November 14, the latest innovations in healthcare technology currently available throughout the continuum of care will be on display at the 2018 Healthcare Innovations Conference at the Rochester Riverside Hotel.
This includes a technology showcase featuring Rendever, the leader in using virtual reality for seniors in long-term care and assisted living communities. Pandion’s contract with Rendever gives our members access to their VR platform specifically designed for the community setting, with a strong focus on the aging population. Through their networking technology, multiple people can go on a tour of Paris together, or sit next to each other atop the floats of Mardi Gras, waving to the crowd.
Rendever was co-founded by Kyle Rand, a native of Pittsford, New York, who grew up volunteering in a local senior community and went on to study cognitive decline in the aging population at Duke University. After he and his family had a personal experience moving his grandmother into a senior living community, he realized the severe impact of social isolation on seniors, and co-founded Rendever to use new virtual reality technology to build communities and increase resident engagement through positive shared experience.
