On October 24, Pandion Healthcare Advocates hosted a Candidates Forum to discuss healthcare issues at the Rochester Academy of Medicine. A panel of hospital executives from UR Medicine and Rochester Regional Health presented the questions. The federal candidates discussed a single payer healthcare system, the 340B program and the Outpatient Proposed Payment System. The state candidates discussed capital funding, the New York Health Act, unfunded mandates and nurse staffing ratios.
Pandion Healthcare Advocates is a not-for-profit 501(c)6 association whose membership is comprised of 17 hospitals and their related health systems in the 9 counties of Monroe, Livingston, Ontario, Wayne, Seneca, Yates, Allegany, Stueben and Chemung. Pandion works closely with the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS) and the American Hospital Association (AHA), collaborating on many issues and activities.
