Pandion, HANYS and AHA Meet with Senator Schumer Regarding Healthcare Concerns

On April 9, representatives from Pandion, HANYS, and the American Hospital Association met with Senator Chuck Schumer in Washington, DC. They discussed the importance of preserving Medicaid Disproportionate Share Hospital (DSH) payments.

Medicaid DSH payments are critical to the hospitals that serve our nation’s most vulnerable citizens. In treating a disproportionate number of low-income and uninsured patients, these hospitals incur tremendous uncompensated costs. Medicaid DSH payments help to make up for those losses, allowing our communities’ hospitals to keep their doors open.

Pandion Healthcare: Education & Advocacy is grateful for Senator Schumer's support.
