On Wednesday, October 10, Pandion’s food committee met in our corporate offices in Rochester for the group’s bi-monthly meeting. Agenda items for the event included lively discussions over new contracts, price reviews, and upcoming contract renewals. In addition, the group was treated to breakfast treats and lunch, sponsored by Acosta Food Brokers.
The networking portion of the meeting included a review of best practices for DOH inspection reviews and a discussion on staffing which included process flow, gantt charts, pay ranges and best practices for employee retention.
Pandion’s committee process has a large impact on our national suppliers’ and distributor’s policy and stocking decisions. It also provides a forum for our GPO members to share their industry knowledge and learn more about new contracting opportunities, savings, aggregations.
