As the country continues to battle one of the worst flu seasons in the past decade, the Center for Disease Prevention is offering tips on how best to slow the spread of the flu virus.
This is extremely important for our entire group purchasing organization (GPO) membership- from hotels, schools, business and industry, hospitals and more. Among the most common advice is:
Clean and Disinfect surfaces that are frequently touched. This includes countertops, doorknobs, keyboards and phones, hotel equipment, and even school playground equipment.
Continue to Clean. Just because you wiped down a desk yesterday doesn’t mean it will continue to be free of germs. In order to stop or slow down the spread of germs, you should routinely clean and disinfect if you suspect an area could be contaminated.
Clean Correctly. Be sure to pay attention to the directions and ingredients in the cleaning supplies and solutions you select. You also want to make sure you’re cleaning with EPA approved disinfectants. When it comes to cleaning for flu, our partners at Johnston Food Service & Cleaning Solutions highly recommend Clorox Total 360 for of ease of use and total coverage. The cleaning system helps decrease the amount of time spent with cleanup and is cost effective.
