Celebrating National Hospital Week 2019

Pandion Optimization Alliance is proud to celebrate National Hospital Week (May 12-18, 2019). Pandion's hospital association, Pandion Healthcare: Education & Advocacy, represents 17 hospitals across Rochester and the Finger Lakes.

"Hospitals and healthcare systems are the #1 and #2 employers in the Rochester region," said Travis Heider, President and CEO of Pandion Optimization Alliance. "Hospitals in the Greater Rochester area represent $6.3 billion in economic activity, $1.9 billion in payroll expenditures, $175 million in tax dollars generated, and $524 million in community benefits and investments. In addition to providing excellent care 24-7-365, our hospitals are integral to our local economy."

Last year, Rochester area hospitals provided care to 3.8 million outpatients, treated 369,000 people in the emergency room, admitted 113,000 people to hospitals and delivered 9,700 babies.

"We can't thank our hospitals enough for putting patients first, promoting health and safety, and ensuring quality care," Heider said.
