The Client: DePaul

DePaul is a private, not-for-profit organization that provides services in Addiction Prevention and Support Services, Affordable Housing, Mental Health Residential, Senior Living Communities, Support Programs, and Vocational Programs across multiple locations.

Client Challenge:

  • Imperative to reduce expenses and  centralize purchasing
  • Need to streamline purchasing policies and procedures

Pandion Solution:

A critical first step in our process is aligning the right consultant with the needs of the client. We did that with DePaul and assembled an experienced team to attack their business challenges and meet them head on. Through personal interviews with 15 staff members and a review of the company’s purchasing files and procedures, we used advanced reporting and analytics to uncover opportunities for improvement over and above what they experienced as members of Pandion Optimization Alliance. This process resulted in:

  1. Process flow for procurement process
  2. Purchase order terms & conditions
  3. Standard contract terms & conditions
  4. Policies around use of contracts & purchase orders
  5. Software systems and technology
  6. Regulations for food orders across communities
  7. Streamlined processes for purchasing

Business Impact:

“Pandion's consulting review of our current procurement policies and procedures, was a cost-effective way for DePaul to engage an expert in the field of purchasing. We are confident the implementation of their recommendations will result in the utilization of best practices, expense reductions, and efficient and streamlined procurement policies and procedures in the future ”
